We are aware of a new Battlefield 3 patch being released today on 4th June. This new patch may put the game into a black screen / energy bars state for people who bought the russian version of Battlefield 3. In order to fix this, an updated english language patch is required. We have the small 2mb download now available HERE.

June 4TH PATCH ENGLISH FILES ARE AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD HERE!

  1. English should be on almost all versions of Crysis as the game was made in English. It will be under English.CAB. Extract the files, english.lng and english.pak and place them in the crysis localized directory. EDIT: Almost forgot, in the Localized folder there will be a file named 'Default.Ing', Open it with notpad delete anything in there.
  2. How to install the Russian - English Language Pack: You will need to copy the files into your c: program files steamapps folder as shown below: Once you have copied the files as shown your game will now function in english.

Patch update 4 June 2012 Language Files:

The new battlefield 3 patch may put your game into a state where it shows only energy bars / black screen when you start the game.
This can be fixed easily by downloading the language fix for the June 4th patch.

How to install the new patch:

  • First, Simply start Origin and let Origin update your game to the latest version.
  • ONCE THE GAME HAS BEEN UPDATED TO LATEST VERSION, download the language files from one of the below download links and place it into your installation directory.

How to convert Battlefield 3 Russian into English:

After you have downloaded and installed Battlefield 3, you will need to select the language that you want to play the game in. You can do this by editing the registry, but to save time and to make it more user friendly for our customers, CJS CD Keys has developed a custom Battlefield 3 Language Changer for your convenience. You must place both of the downloaded files into the following directory:

DO NOT DELETE THE RUSSIAN FILES. LEAVE THEM THERE!

STEP 2:

Download the second BF3 Language pack file by CLICKING HERE.

STEP 3:

There are 3 alternatives to step 3....

Language

Option 1:

Download and double click this .reg file. it will automatically set your battlefield 3 settings so that the game will start in english:

DOWNLOAD BF3 ENGLISH REGISTRY PATCH (or for other languages: reg-fr.rar, reg-de.rar, reg-es.rar or reg-it.rar )

After double clicking the .reg file your game will now function in english.

Option 2:
Once you've put the english language packs inside the installation folder, you can run our language changer, (DOWNLOAD IT HERE) click 'activate english' and the game will function perfectly in english.

Option 3:

Option 3 is how to manually change battlefield 3 language in the registry as an alternative to our language changer software:

  • in Press Start, in the ‘Run’ box, type ‘regedit’ and press enter
  • browse to:
    32 bit PC:

Just replace the highlighted fields:

4. Open Start, Run write Regedit Enter. Find [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeOrigin GamesDGR01609244] replace with the following.Just replace the highlighted fields.

English: en_US German: de_DE French: fr_FR Italian: it_IT Spanish: es_ES Polish: pl_PL Japanese: ja_JP Czech: cs_CZ

The game will now work in your language.

Hey, i just collected some ways to change your language in BF4. Some are very fast and easy while others are more demanding.

NOTE: Following these steps on your own risk!

First, the easiest way for the multilangual version:
*requires no downloads and no changes to the registry

There are three versions of BF4
1. GLOBAL, DRM Free,
2. GLOBAL (English language only),
3. RU/PL REGION (at this time languages are locked but I think it’s gonna be easy to switch them when someone figure it out),

All those versions are listed at https://www.g2a.com/r/bf4 and I got this info from support.

– method 1 change Origin language & re-download

1. De-install BF4
2. Start origin, in „Application Settings“ select English US
3. Re-download and re-install BF4
4. Your game should now be in english

– method 2 delete additional language files in „..Win32Loc“ folder

1. Change the default language of Origin to English

2. Open regedit:
Win 7: Start->Run->Type in „regedit“
Win 8: Move your cursor to the right edge of your desktop->Search->Type „regedit“->Open it

3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Wow6432node->EA Games->Battlefield 4

4. Modify the data of Locale from whatever to en_US, and likewise for GDFBinary and GDFBinary64.

5. Move the (Game) directory to a different location (that makes shure u don’t have to re-download!)

7. Pause the download at ~1% (you should now have the GDF-Binaries with the en_US-extension)

8. Paste your saved BF4-directory(step 5.) in the new created at the original location

9. Continue the download it should now run finish in no time, because the files are there already

3. move your bf4 somewhere else
4. use USA proxy in vpn
5. login to origin
6. start downloading bf4 and pause once it start downloading
7. exit origin again
8. move your backed up version back to where you have it installed
9. start origin again and resume download (it should just verify the already done installation and download ~930mb of english localization files).
10. pause the download once it starts and disconnect the vpn so you can get your usual downloading speed, resume the download.
